  from "Genealogy and history of the Baker, Andrus, Clark, and Adams families", 1920 Bert Webster Baker was educated at the public school, at Carlton College, Northfield, and Ann Arbor, Mich. He worked for his father for some time, finally investing at Plainview, Texas, in lands from which he secured a competencey.
