      RED CLOUD, Neb. - The funeral for Hobart C. Woods, 81, Downs, Kan., a former resident of Red Cloud, well be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Simmonson-Williams Chapel, Red Cloud, the Rev. Dale L. Robertson officiating. Mr. Woods died Saturday at the Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit, Kan. He was born Jun 27, 1901, at Lebanon, Kan. and farmed on the family homstead north of Lebanon until moving to Red Cloud in 1972 where he lived until moving to Downs in 1976, His first wife, Fern, died in 1974. Surviving are his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Holtman, Augusta, Mich., and Mrs. Lenna Zielka, Spokane, Wash.; a son, Lowell, Kansas City; three step-daughters, Mrs. Rose Doubrava, Ellsworth; Mrs. Ruby Peters, Lincoln, and Mrs. Doris Campbell, Colby, all of Kansas; three sisters, Mrs Gladys Hawley, Republican City, Neb.; Mrs Ola Engstrom, Burlington, Colo., and Mrs Ardyus Burgess, Lebanon; four brothers, Ted, Republican City; Carl, of California, and John and Jean, both of Lebanon. Burial will be in the Red Cloud Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials to the First Christian Church, Downs.
