  from "California, Death Index, 1905-1939" (ancestry.com) Austa Cousins died on 19 May 1937 in San Bernardino Co, CA from "The Greenville Record-Argus", 27 May 1937 (newspapers.com) The death of Mrs. Austa Cousins, a brief account of which was published in last night's Record-Argus, occurred in Redlands, Cal., on May 19, 1937. Mrs. Cousins was born January 12, 1853, near New Hamburg, the daughter of William and Nancy Ann White Wood. She first married Reuben Beaver of near Greenville, and, in later years. J.M. McLain of Fredonia, where she lived for many years and made many friends. In 1906 she married E.S. Cousins of Redlands, Cal., where she had since lived and had been active in the church and social service activities.
