  From "The Greenville Record-Argus", 29 July 1926 (newspaperarchive.com) Wellington Woods of Andover, formerly a resident here, suffered a paralytic stroke on Saturday and is reported in a serious condition. From "The Greenville Record-Argus", 14 Sept 1926 (newspaperarchive.com) John Wellington Woods, aged 83 years, died early Tuesday morning at his home near Andover, O., after a long illness. He as the son of John and Jemima McLaughlin Woods and was born in West Salem township, March 25, 1843. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Rebecca Woods, on daughter, Mrs. H. H. Mohr, Greenville, R. D., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Short funeral services are to be held from his home near Andover Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. after which the remains will be removed to the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. H. Mohr at Maysville. Funeral services will be held in the West Salem Baptist church on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, with interment following in the Shenango Valley cemetery. From "The Greenville Record-Argus", 20 Sept 1926 (newspaperarchive.com) Funeral Services were held Thursday for J. Wellington Woods, who died at his home near Andover, September 14. The deceased was born in West Salem, March 25, 1843. In 1866 he married Clarinda Brown and two of their four children, Mrs. H. H. Mohr and Ernest A. Woods, survive. Mrs. Woods, and Mrs. H. H. Melvin, and Clarence Woods, the children, preceded the father in death, a number of years ago. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. In 1915, the deceased married Mrs. George Johnson, since which time they resided near Andover, where his wife still lives. Mr. Woods was a Civil War veteran, having been in Company F, 199th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. He united with the West Salem Baptist church in 1869. Mr Woods was the last surviving member of a family of 13 children, being a son of John and Jemima Woods, who lived long and useful lives in West Salem township, having been pioneers in that section. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Clelland, of Kinsman, assisted by Re. Porterfield, of Franklin, a fomer pastor of West Salem Baptist church. The body was interred in the Shenango Valley cemetery.
