  from "The Dallas Morning News", April 16, 1987 Services for Max E. Snoddy of Garland, founder and chairman of the board of Telsco Industries of Garland, an irrigation-equipment producer, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Dallas. Snoddy, 75, died Monday in Doctors Hospital in Dallas. Born in Golden Gate, Ill., he moved to Dallas in 1938, the year he founded Telsco. In 1961 the company moved its headquarters to Garland. Snoddy served as president of Telsco until 1969, when he became chairman of the board. He also served as director of the company's international operations, which included furnishing irrigation systems for Buckingham Palace in London and St. Andrew's golf course in Scotland. He was a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Dallas. Snoddy is survived by his wife, Katherine ROUNTREE SNODDY of Dallas; a son, Lloyd "Mike' Snoddy of Dallas; a daughter, Ruth GATEWOOD of Garland; three stepdaughters, Nancy CUNNINGHAM, Alice SHUFFLER and Carol McDERMOTT; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren.
