    • Wilma A. Luce Black, 91, of the Terrace Apartments in Randolph, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Thurs-day, Jan. 21, 2010, in the home of her daughter on Hunt Road, in Jamestown, under the care of hospice. She was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Corydon, Pa., the daughter of the late Clarence "Red" and Ethel Hollister Luce. She was a graduate of Randolph Central School and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and was a seam-stress. She was a member of the Randolph Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6533 Auxiliary and the Randolph American Legion Post 181 Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Frank Black and his wife, Janet of Frewsburg; and a daughter, Saundra Greenlee and her late husband, Richard of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Dawn Godan of Portland, Maine, John Strandburg of Waterboro, Maine and Matthew Black of Frewsburg; seven great-grandchildren: Joe Nelson Black, Emily Gagne, Kaylee and Scott Goad, Danielle, David and John Strandburg; a brother, Paul Luce of Steamburg; and four sisters: Margaret Swift and Dona Miller, both of Hamburg, Audrey Brosius and Carol Bentley of Randolph. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Black, whom she married on June 1, 1939, in Smethport, Pa., and who preceded her on June 17, 1982; three brothers: Jack, Joel and Clyde Luce. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the VanRensselaer and Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, from where family and friends may call on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. The Rev. Leslie Latham, pastor of the Randolph United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Corydon Riverview Cemetery in Corydon, Pa.
