  from "The Glens Falls Morning Star", 10 Oct 1898 (fultonhistory.com) Norman B. Sherman died suddenly in Saratoga Thursday afternoon of heart trouble. He was born in Pittston, Rensselaer county, in 1829, and removed to Wilton when quite young, but for the past forty years had been in business in Saratoga. He was twice married. His first was Mary, daughter of John Palmer, of Moreau, and his second wife was Sarah M., daughter of Harvey Ross, of Gansevoort. She died about a year and a half ago. He leaves no children. The funeral will be held at his late home in Saratoga tomorrow afternoon. Interment at Gansevoort.
