When the case of Minnie Stalker, a girl 18 years of age, charged with petty larceny, was called before Police Judge Fritz yesterday Edward Hansen, a young carpenter, stepped forward and told the judge that he had been keeping company with the girl for two months and was willing to marry her. He said they both belong to Petaluma, where the girl's father was a dealer in cattle. The Judge said he did not like to have the girl disgrace by convicting her of petty larceny and allowed her to go on her own recognizance so that she could go to her home in Petaluma and prepare for her wedding. The case was continued for a week. The girl was accused of stealing a raglan coat from Mrs. Tracy of Oceanview last March.
