  from "The Saratogian", 21 May 1928 (fultonhistory.com) Sarah Elizabeth Sherman, wife of Ervin Palmer died today at her home on Fortsville. Mrs. Palmer was born in Wilton, October 4, 1851, the daughter of Gideon Sherman and Sarah P. Clark. On December 8th, 1875 she married Ervin Palmer of Fortsville and most of her life was spent in Saratoga County, a large part being spent in Saratoga Springs. Her survivors are Mrs. Helen G. Albrecht, of Fortsville, Mrs. H.B. Kendall of Glens Falls, two granddaughters, married and one great grandson, living in Wyoming and two grandsons of Glens Falls. Mrs. Palmer was well known and greatly loved in both home and church circles. In December, 1925 she celebrated her golden anniversary at which time her many friends expressed their esteem. From that time her health had been failing steadily and for the past three weeks she has been confined to her bed. Funeral services will be held at her late residence on Wednesday, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Swarts, former pastor at Fortsville will officiate. Burial well be in Greenridge cemetery, Saratoga Springs.
