  from "The Portland Evening Express", 9 Jan 1988 (newspapers.com) OCALA, Fla. - Abraham Bernard Hoffman, 56, died Wednesday at an area hospital after a brief illness. He moved here from Malden, Mass., in 1874. He was born in Malden, a son of Wolf and Lillian Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman was a retired fireman for the city of Malden. Surviving are his wife, Florence. M. (DiMatteo) Hoffman; a son, Vince B. Hoffman; a brother, Earl Hoffman, all of Ocala; and two grandchildren. A funeral be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Bruce Oscala Funeral Home, East Chapel. Burial will be in Malden at a later date.
