  from "The Los Angeles Times", 30 Jan 1947 (newspapers.com) Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Mantle, 86, native Californian whose parents sailed around the Horn, will be conducted by Forest Lawn Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. today in the Wee Kirk o' the Heather. Mrs. Mantle, who died last Saturday, was born in San Francisco and was the widow of Byron Gillette Mantle.
