  from "from "California, Death Index, 1940-1997" (ancestry.com) Ivy P Cerkel, born 29 Apr 1894 in CA to -- Judson & -- Sloane, died on 21 Apr 1942 in San Francisco Co, CA. from "The San Francisco Chronicle", 22 Apr 1942 (genealogybank.com) Mrs. Ivy Cerkel, 58, veteran city employee, died yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital following a brief illness. A native San Franciscan, Mrs. Cerkel entered city employ in 1922. At the time of her death she was employed as a stenographer in the office of Controller Boyd. She was active in the Elizabeth Lee Post of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors in include her husband, Joseph, and a son, David. The family home is at 10 Herman street. Funeral services are pending.
