      PROMINENT KINGSTON businessman Joseph Pinchin died in hospital yesterday morning after a brief illness. He was 87. Affectionately called Joe, Mr. Pinchin chalked up many notable achievements during his career as an insurance salesman with ALICO. He was a former consul for Peru and was specially honoured by that government for his dedicated service. A champion elocutionist, the former St. George's alumnus was crowned Jamaica's Champion Elocutionist 1937-47. He is survived by wife Maria, of 57 years, sons Carlos and Jose, daughters Anna, Elizabeth and Teresita, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
