      Alex or Alexander Cowie was born 28 Aug 1872i in Dundas, Wentworth, ONT to Alexander Cowie, a machinist, residing Dundas & Mary Jardine. (as stated by step brother, Adam A Morton of Newark NJ on 1 Aug 1932)

      Alexander Cowie, 1013 22nd Avenue North, died yesterday at his home. A native of Dundar, Ont., Canada, he was a retired railroad machinist and came to St. Peterburg nine years ago from Newark N.J. He is survived by his wife Martha H. Cowie of St. Petersburg. The body will be sent today for services and interment in Arlington, N.J. Baynard's is in charge.
