May 18, 1760 from Revolutionary War Pension Application Files Soldier served from NY. Soldier was b.1760 and d. 6-7-1824. Soldier m. Patience Dennison in 1793 VT. Soldier lived at Bridgewater, VT and Lyme, CT. from History of the Town of Bridgewater (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vermont/WindsorBridgewater.html) Dea. Joseph PERKINS, brother of Benjamin, was killed here by the falling of a tree, in June, 1824. Joseph was a worthy deacon of the Congregational church, and left a family of five to mourn his loss.
