  from The Niagara Falls Gazette, Nov 13, 1920 (fultonhistory.com) This village and our sister village of Pekin have been called upon to part with two of their life-long residents, Mrs. John Maxon of Pekin, and Elwod Baker of Sanborn. having passed to the great beyond on Wednesday, November 10th. ... Elwood Baker died suddenly, Wednesday afternoon at five o'clock. He was born 62 years ago in the town of Cambria and has made his home on this farm in that town until a few years ago when he purchased his later home in this village. Mr. Baker has been in ill health only about three weeks. He was not considered dangerously ill and was working at his apples when the end came. Burial services will be held this (Saturday) afternoon, and interment will be in Mount View cemetery. From The Buffalo Express (Buffalo, NY), Nov 13, 1920 (fultonhistory.com) Funeral of Elwood Baker Sanborn, Nov. 11 - Elwood Baker, 62 years old, died suddenly on Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Luther Crosier, and a son, Herbert Baker. Funeral services were held this afternoon and interment was in Mount View cemetery. The Rev. D. A. (?) of the Meithodist church officiating.
