  from The San Diego Union, 25 July 1958 (genealogybank.com) MAY E. GRIFFIN DIES; RETIRED TEACHER Mrs. May E. Griffin, 76, of 4915 Uvada Pl., a retired school teacher, died Monday at a hospital. She taught in the San Diego County School system for 25 years, retiring in 1952. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Skelton; two sons, James and Francis, four sisters and two brothers. Services will be tomorrow at Greenwood Mortuary with burial in Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
